Hey everybody - Rivkah got sick on the trip here and she has the flu. :-( No show tomorrow at FatCats in downtown Ft. Lauderdale! Hopefully she will be better in time for the gig next Friday, July 3 up at Propaganda. Please, everyone come to that show! If she's all better, it's going to be a great one.
So it looks like I have the weekend off now. What's good?

| Mas Torsos? |

Quick survey: Who downloaded the new Los Torsos record? If you got it, did you get a chance to hear it yet? If so, what do you think?
I ask because I have a whole other album worth of unreleased material that I would like to release likewise for free to the internet later this week. It's called Lost or SOS and it has a lot of really good hybrid acoustic-electronic stuff on it. It's VERY different than FiberOptic... It's got really crisp production and we spent a lot of time on each track.
I would say Lost or SOS is the most accessible record we've done - FiberOptic is probably the least accessible, at least on a mainstream level, but still rather interesting if you like that 4-track, slapdash flavor.
I'll probably press Lost or SOS in Miami when I get the money. It's really fucking good and definitely deserves a proper CD pressing.
So what do you guys think? Would you dig some more this week?

I finally got my converter box coupon and picked it up today. I bought a flat antenna that doesn't work worth a shit. I remember Frances Mai-Ling talking about making her own antenna.
This is my next project. Get ready.

Just a reminder: the show at Hot Topic has been cancelled for the time being. That was supposed to be tonight. They may reschedule. So yeah, NO SHOW TONIGHT AT HOT TOPIC! Tell everyone you know who lives in Coral Springs not to go there or they will be subjected to a Killswitch Engage in-store CD release abortion thing.
Saturday's (tomorrow's) The Craven gig at beautiful Cinema Paradiso is still on. We had our best practice ever last night. We are going to be playing our German industrial crossover hit "Craven Waiven" and the club-crushing goodness of the new hit single "Bodies" among others. We are playing the middle slot, slated for 9:45. If you're there by 9pm you should be good to go.
The show is only $5 cover, plus there are two other bands, a burlesque show, and independent short films screening all for that one low cover price. Did I mention the theater has a full bar?
This is the first Friday I've had in an eternity when I had absolutely no solid plans. Mendez, you wanna hang out tonight? |

| HOT TOPIC show will be RESCHEDULED - Cinema Paradiso show is STILL ON |

I got word from Gina that the show is being rescheduled. No Show tomorrow on Friday at the Hot Topic.
Apparently there is a big Killswitch Engage album coming out that day and they're doing some sort of in-store CD release party thing. They asked to reschedule my little acoustic performance. So hopefully if you were planning to go to the show, you will see this post and know that the show is off.
This is ok with me. I felt a little bit weird about playing a gig at Hot Topic anyway (unless I were to perform the DVDA song about burning down the hot topic LOL). Driving to Coral Springs at 6pm with no AC in my car was also sort of a horrible idea.
The Craven show at Cinema Paradiso on Saturday is still on however. Come see that one - it's only $5. The Craven takes stage at 9:45 sharp!
